Aug 27, 2013 - A Tribute to Phil

Dad has been amazing since Mom's diagnosis (not that he wasn't before :-), taking on Mom's every changing, ever increasing care-giving needs with lot's of patience and love.  Mom loves music of all kinds and when she hears a song that she likes, Dad sweeps her up to dance...

  1. August 27th. Dianna's birthday tomorrow...she turns 72. August 31st is our 50th anniversary. These are times to party and express ones joy and happiness. We have decide to go low key on these events.
Today Dianna was moved to the Transitions area today. She will now wait for a room in one of the Complex care facilities. They are full and a long list of people waiting is the norm so we have no clue as to when a room will become available. And so it goes. Tomorrow will be a better day.

    1. We had a great day Vic. During lunch they sang Happy Birthday to her and had a cupcake with a candle. We had a surprise birthday party for her. Besides Lisa and Scott, Linda came along with BJ and David and Gill Alford. We had her favorite...fish and chips and Dairy Queen ice cream. Went over really well.Pics to follow.

  3. Happy birthday to Auntie Dianna and an early happy anniversary to you both. Uncle Phil, it was great to see that she still loves flirting with you when we visited!

  4. Thanks Vicky and Melissa. Your visit was a happy time for Di. She loves her family cherishing their contacts. The basket of fabric etc has been used a lot. Feeling the fabric is an important connection to reality it seems. She becomes quite focused on it. Great idea.
