Scrabble anyone?

We set up the scrabble game today which brought a big smile to Mom's face.

'You're a Cool Guy!"

We sure enjoyed our visit with Mom today - she was alert with some good communication.  Mom really appreciates Lester! He just brings a huge smile to her face. At one point during lunch she turned to him with a big grin and exclaimed 'you're a cool guy'!   Of course I know this...Mom has always been his biggest fan, famous for defending him when she feels he is being done an injustice.  While we were bantering back and forth today and I was giving him a hard time about something, Mom turned to me and said - hey...you be nice!  What a cool guy...please...who else would take her outside to see the budding flowers on a lovely spring day?

Peaceful Warrior

Bella and I had a lovely visit with Mom today.  As I sat with her waiting for her lunch to arrive, I commented to her how peaceful she seemed to be today and she said 'Yes I am'.

We're Back...

Dianna hasn't been at her best for awhile and it has concerned me.  Lack of sleep at night led to extreme difficulty in getting her up, washed, changed, and ready for the day. They often had to back right off as she wouldn't let them touch her.

But the last few days have been much better. By keeping her in her wheelchair she is more active resulting in her sleeping through the night and much more "up" during the day.  Good to see her back.

The pics below tell it all.  She got herself trapped between the bed, the TV, and the wall . I heard her say "god dam it". I laughed. She was quick to tell me "shut up Philip". Of course I only laughed more. And so the day went.
